can anyone help me in finding any statements made by the wtbs in any of their publications to confirm this change or even just the original news release which i understand was on their official website but i now can't find any reference to it.. is this a case of having one policy for public consumption to improve their public image but the another policy for internal consumption to give the impression that things hav'nt changed?.

One person got baptized at Circuit Ass. today (powerhouse circuit)

just got a call from a friend who told me only one person got baptized today in a ciruit assembly in nyc.

this is in a powerhouse circuit that had tremendous growth 10~20 years ago but is now seeing a steady decline to the point that congregations are starting to merge because so many are leaving.

what could be the cause of this decline?

in the last 3 years there were several assemblies in this area where there were no baptism candidates and yet they still went through the charade (i mean talk).

in a misguided attempt to get the numbers up i was baptised twice, once at the age of 13 and then again at 19 (no seriously i wanted to absolutely certain).

for the first time in my life i am now absolutely certain.

held at Twickenham rugby stadium, with whole car parks converted into tented areas arranged in rows and named after bible places like Jacobs road or jezebel street.

As a teenager I volunteered as a night guard and slept on bails of hay during the day. Didn’t hear any of the talks.

Can anyone let me know if I missed anything I should know?

As we were expecting trouble from those wicked apostates we used to patrol the grounds carrying a length of iron pipe that had been left over from the miles of plumbing used to connect up the huge ex army dinner tray washing machines and hot water boilers.

Why was it 8 days? Well it was twice as much fun as a 4 day assembly.

Yes, I agree with every word said, but most businesses are run by directors who want to make pots of money to buy and show off their swanky cars and big houses.

This lot, as far as I know, aren’t doing that. Perhaps their goal is more subtle, maybe a power thing. Control of peoples minds but to what end?

I’m confused.

sorry if this has been discussed before, but can anyone tell me what the current wtbs view of suicide is?

it used to that they would suffer the second death and therefore would not be resurrected.
